Due to restrictions, compatibilites, and inconsistencies in the various protocols that EzIsland uses, all usernames and passwords must conform to a certain format. In particular, users should avoid special characters such as whitespace (such as spaces, tabs, and newlines), punctuation (such as commas, periods and quotations) nonprintables (like the NULL character). EzIsland also does not accept non-ASCII characters such as accented letters, emoji's, or non-English letters. Additionally, usernames and passwords have a maximum length of 32 characters. Usernames have a minimum length of 3 characters and passwords have a minimum length of 8 characters for security. Finally, while you should always treat your username and password as case sensitive, EzIsland will not let two users share a username that differs only by case.
